Back in the 90s I loved Fiona Apple's mellow alto voice, and greatly enjoyed her first two records (1996's Tidal and 1999's When the Pawn...). A few weeks ago she released her most recent effort Fetch the Bolt Cutters. I've given the full album a listen-to and I have to be honest; I didn't get the same good feels from Bolt Cutters that I get from the 90s music of hers.
Either way, the above version of "Criminal" is performed by Scary Pockets (featuring Sarah Dugas on vocals). If you like the grooviness of this cover, check out the rest of the Scary Pockets catalog as it will be well-worth your time.
